BTR-152V1 (ZIS-152V1) – BTR-152V with an internal air supply system to the tires. TVN-2 driver’s night vision device, troop compartment heater, hot air blowing system for windshields, light-camouflage attachments for headlights, R-113 radio station. Improved engine and chassis units, unified with the ZIL-157 truck. Serial production from October 1958 to 1962.
The largest modernization of the BTR-152 was carried out in Israel by the Nimda company in the early 80s. The car received a General Motors diesel engine and a hydromechanical transmission, weapons and Israeli-style communications. Under the name “Shoet” these armored personnel carriers are in service with the Israeli army.
